Project Description

Date:April 26-28, 2024

On Golden Pond

For the past 48 years, Norman and Ethel have been spending their summers at the small cabin by the Golden Pond.

However, this year, things are no longer peaceful and serene. Their middle-aged divorced daughter Chelsea has returned home with her boyfriend Bill and stepson Billy, causing the already estranged father-daughter relationship to reach an icy point. How will the presence of the stepson help thaw the divide and reconnect the two?

Summers are always fleeting. Can this tense three-generation family mend their relationships and fill the Golden Pond with the warmth of their bond?

As spring gives way to summer, “it” waits patiently in the familiar place, anticipating their return once again.

This seems to be a poignant family story about the complexities of relationships, especially across different generations. The presence of the stepson introduces an additional dynamic that could either help heal the rift between the father and daughter, or complicate matters further. It will be interesting to see how the family navigates these challenges over the course of the summer at the Golden Pond.
