Sunday in the Park with George
Music and Lyrics by STEPHEN SONDHEIM, Book by JAMES LAPINE

Sunday in the Park with George

The winner of Pulitzer Prize for Drama tells a sentimental story between the famous French pointillist painter Georges Seurat and his lover “Dot “.

George Seurat was a French painter and the founder of Neo-impressionism. He invented “pointillism” and used color to create harmony and emotion in art. His unique style of painting was rejected by other painters. But still, Seurat devoted himself fully to his art, unable to commit to anything else – including his longtime mistress, Dot.
